The Kennedy Window
In 1964 this window was installed in memory of one of the greatest benefactors of the church: the Revd James Kennedy who was vicar here for 28 years from 1864 to 1892. He found a dilapidated church and restored it using his family fortunes. This explains the very fine Victorian chancel. The window shows St. Peter blessing the reconstructed church. It also has symbols reflecting the family interest in nature (wild flowers), music (a lute), and charity (the Red Cross)
